Samsung has confirmed that they will be relaunching the Samsung Galaxy Fold in September 2019. The exact dates are not announced yet. Initially, Samsung Galaxy Fold also known as Samsung Galaxy X was unveiled in February 2019.
In February 2019 Samsung had announced the Galaxy fold model and shared some of the phones to different reviewers. This was a completely new concept in which the screen was foldable and people praised the concept and on stage display but when the YouTube reviewers reviewed the phone they observed some major issues in the device. Due to which Samsung delayed the launch event in China back in April 2019 and reinvested time to take the issues into account and resolve them.

Issues:

·         There were display failures - It was noticed that the screen crease had some noticeable gaps at the top and bottom. These gaps were big enough for foreign debris to come under the screen. As a result, reviewers experienced "bulges" due to which screen was damaged.
·         "Special protective layer" - Several reviewers had mistakenly removed a clear laminate layer which Samsung had forbade to remove. This "Special protective layer" was to save the screen from damage.

Solutions and update before relaunch:

Samsung investigated all the issues and have announced the following steps for the solution of the issues.
·         "Special protective layer" - The "Special protective layer" of the Infinity Flex Display has been extended beyond the bezel, which will make it look like the main part of display structure and it is not supposed to be removed.
·         Foreign debris protection - Samsung Galaxy Fold has reinforced additional features for protecting it from the external debris despite maintaining the foldable experience.
In addition to these major issues, Samsung has made sure to maintain the best possible product quality and made these additional changes:
·         Strengthening hinges - Samsung strengthened the top and bottom hinges with newly added protection caps.
·         Display protection - Samsung included additional metal layers under the display for better protection of the display.
·         Space - Samsung has reduced the space between the hinge and the body.

Conclusion:

After observing all the specs and features the device is pretty much good. Since the Huawei Mate X launch, we know the price is fine for the Galaxy fold. As Huawei Mate X is priced at approximately €2299.
