Bajao Urdu Audiobooks blog title image |
The book reading community across the globe is very small, and the reader community in Pakistan is far smaller. Finding Urdu books is possible in physical markets, but moving towards digital books has not been good. Today I came across an Instagram post and found out that there are Urdu audiobooks available.
In the last half a decade, audiobooks are a new way of enjoying books in the busy life of the 21st century. As from the name it is understood that audiobooks are recorded books that you can listen to at any time. People often hear them while commuting, working on minor tasks, exercising etc.
Now, we can find Urdu Audiobooks on a music streaming application “Bajao”. This application allows users to listen to Urdu Audiobooks.
Currently, there are very few titles available, and we can expect the addition of more books with time. At the time of writing, these are the available titles:
- Alif by Umera Ahmed
- Daana Paani by Umera Ahmed
Peer e Kamil by Umera Ahmed
How to listen to audiobooks
- Step 1: Download the Bajao mobile application from the app store or play store.
OR
Open bajao.pk website and skip step 2
- Step 2: Open the Bajao application once it is installed.
- Step 3: Once the application is opened on the home screen under the music section, scroll down and find “Audiobooks and Podcasts“. Once you’ve found the heading under it. You can find different audiobooks.
Problem:
One problem in this Bajao setup is that it shows episode 1 (one part of the book). To find the remaining parts, you must search the book title inside the search bar and access each part individually.
Conclusion:
Finding Urdu audiobooks remains a struggle for Pakistan book lovers, but this is an important; milestone toward digitization. Bajao Urdu audiobooks are free as of the writing of this article. They may get into premium at some later stage, but for now, it is free.
